Cinelli AeroScoop - Framekit
The Milanese brand Cinelli is now redefining AeroDynamics in the peloton. The all-new AeroScoop is amongst the 10 top fastest bikes in the world. Forza, andiamo!
The Aeroscoop is Cinelli’s latest evolution in carbon road bike design; shaped by more than 75 years aerodynamic road bike design—engineered for pure of relentless Milanese innovation and fine-tuned in the racing performance and shaped by cutting-edge wind tunnel for pure performance.
The Aeroscoop frame employs a strategic combination of Toray T700 (for strength and controlled flexibility), balanced handling and aggressive positioning T800 (for optimized stiffness in critical areas), and T1100 (for maximum rigidity in high-stress zones) to optimize stiffness, weight, and comfort throughout the structure. By using a differentiated layup across various sections of the frame, we can tailor the mechanical properties to the specific stresses encountered in each area.
The frame design sets the AeroScoop apart from the rest. Inspired by aerospace dynamics, the seat stays split into 2 arms, forming a central air channel guiding the air flow around the frame saving you watts. In tests, the AeroScoop beats the Specialized Tarmac SL8 in frontal flow.
Aero Design Details
Revised Downtube Geometry
Lowered to minimize the front wheel gap in the upper section and widened to shield water bottles, further reducing turbulence and enhancing aerodynamic flow.
Airfoil-inspired Tube Transitions
The downtube and seattube feature a truncated airfoil shape that improves airflow and increases bottom bracket stiffness for better power transfer.
Smoothed Cockpit Transition
A proprietary headset cover eliminates shape discontinuities between the headtube and handlebar, minimizing turbulence at the front end.
Integrated Fork Redesign
The fork crown has been reshaped for seamless integration with the headtube vand downtube junction—critical to reducing frontal drag.
Adjustable Columbus Components
Allows offset tuning (–10 mm / 0 mm) to fine-tune rider position for maximum performance.
Columbus Components Spirit Integrated Handlebar
A narrower top section with a 30 mm width difference between hoods and drops reduces frontal drag and encourages a more aerodynamic riding posture.
Every line, surface, wind-tunnel research. Every detail, from frame profile and angle has been optimized to reduce drag, enhance to cockpit ergonomics, is optimized to reduce drag, stability, and deliver maximum speed in even the most enhance control, and maximize speed across real-demanding real-world racing conditions.
