Basso Palta III — Two Souls, One Bike
Palta III is Basso's third-generation gravel platform: a genuinely versatile bike that performs as a race machine when speed matters and as a capable adventure bike when the ride turns longer or rougher.
Frame
High-modulus carbon layup (70% Torayca T800, 20% M40JB, 10% T700), 970g frame weight (size M). Tyre clearance up to 50mm rear / 52mm front. An 18% reduction in frontal area versus Palta II, alongside increased bottom bracket and rear-triangle stiffness for more direct power transfer, and reduced head-tube stiffness for comfort on rough terrain.
Integrated storage
A downtube compartment with a colour-matched carbon cover and Fidlock magnetic closure, including two anti-abrasion internal bags. A dedicated Vibram-developed guard protects the downtube and bottom bracket from impact and debris.
Fit and geometry
Six frame sizes with overlapping fit ranges, a taller stack and sloping top tube for a more sustainable long-distance position, without dulling the bike's responsiveness.
